What you'll be doing
Supporting the Chief Radiographer with the day-to-day management of the CHHC Medical Imaging Department to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service to patients within the Mid North Coast Local Health District.
Lead the CHHC Medical Imaging Team for the growth and reputation of the service within the resources available.
Under the direction of the Chief Radiographer assist with the planning and commissioning of the imaging service and to organise and direct day to day activities of the department to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients of the service. 1. Appropriate Bachelor Degree; accredited by the Australian Institute of Radiography and registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
2. Management Qualifications and/or equivalent work experience and current high level of practical experience and knowledge in all aspects of a Medical Imaging Department within a hospital setting.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide effective and efficient delivery of patient care utilising rostering methods and staffing arrangements which are in line with quality human resource management practices and budget allocation.
4. Demonstrated experience and ability to supervise and lead multidisciplinary teams with skills in fostering the continuing professional development of staff and a commitment to ensuring staff mandatory compliances.
5. Skills and experience in theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles, trauma and general radiography. Experience in one or more specialty modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasound or Angiography) within a hospital setting.
6. Competence in financial management to demonstrate service provision is delivered in an effective and efficient manner, including use of PACS/RIS to inform decisions.
7. Current AHPRA accreditation, Radiation Licence (IA14/G1) and current unencumbered Drivers Licence.
