About the Company:
Lucas Parts is a specialized supplier engaged in the retail and wholesale of earth-moving machinery parts for the Australian construction industry. We work with trusted manufacturers in Asia to maintain a steady inventory of high-quality components such as excavator and bulldozer parts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Select and purchase earth-moving machinery parts for resale, aligned with customer demand and business strategy
* Monitor sales data and inventory levels to forecast purchasing needs and avoid over/understocking
* Research market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to anticipate customer preferences
* Negotiate terms and pricing with overseas and local suppliers to secure quality products at competitive rates
* Coordinate with freight and logistics providers to manage timely deliveries
* Develop and implement pricing, promotional, and stock display strategies in collaboration with the sales team
* Liaise with management to support long-term planning, sales targets, and promotional events
* Prepare purchase plans in accordance with resale needs and budget constraints
Skills and Requirements:
* Prior experience in a procurement or retail buying role, preferably in industrial or machinery-related sectors
* Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
* Sound understanding of inventory planning and market analysis
* High attention to detail and data literacy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in using procurement or inventory management systems
* Fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
Qualifications:
* At least diploma or above in supply chain, business, commerce, or a related field
* Experience with international sourcing or working with overseas suppliers
