Job Description
Curtin University invites applications for a visionary academic leader to drive the development of cutting-edge research infrastructure for climate action in transport and land use planning. This strategic role will oversee the coordination and delivery of the AURIN WA Node project.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive strategic planning and stakeholder engagement with government agencies, academic partners, and platform providers.
* Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, interoperable infrastructure aligned with AURIN systems.
* Guide the development of analytical tools and data integration strategies to support climate-related decision-making.
* Champion sustainability planning, capacity building, and long-term impact across research and policy communities.
Requirements
* PhD in urban planning, data science, geography, transport, environmental science, or a related field.
* Proven leadership in complex research infrastructure or data platform projects.
* Expertise in data science, spatial analysis, and infrastructure for climate or urban research.
* A strong track record of stakeholder engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Benefits
* Fixed term, full-time position until October 2027, with possibility of extension.
* Based at Bentley Campus, Perth, Western Australia.
* $144,512 - $191,099 (ALC1 - ALD4) plus 17% superannuation.
