We are a not-for-profit, community-based organisation providing education and care to children from birth to 12 years of age across Tasmania. The role:

We are seeking Diploma Qualified Education and Care Practitioners to join our team. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team to deliver a quality play-based program in Long Day Care.

* Education and Care Practitioner role, Level 2B on our Enterprise Agreement
* Part time, various rosters available
* Long Day Care

SERVICE LOCATIONS:

* Bowen Road (Moonah)
* Uni South (Sandy Bay)
* Acton (Cambridge)
* Midway Point

In this role, you will:

* Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.
* Implement engaging and inclusive educational programs for children
* Interact with and supervise children to ensure their safety and wellbeing
* Create safe, supportive and positive environments for children and colleagues
* Document and reflect on children's learning and development
* Build strong and professional relationships with families and colleagues
* Commit to your own professional growth and development
* Always work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania's policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework

What you'll bring:

* An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Please note that we are not seeking ECT's for this position)
* Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated strong commitment to child safety
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively in a team
* Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, with willingness to learn and apply the Early Years Learning Framework
* A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services)
