Overview Contract Specialist Manager role at Akkodis.
Location: Multiple locations in Australia (ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC).
Long term contract: 12 months.
This is a client-facing contract management role focused on leading contract management, negotiations, and risk management on large, complex projects.
What we need from you Strong background in commercial contracts, negotiations, risk management, and compliance.
Proven team leadership/people management Bachelor\'s degree (Law, Business, or related).
Responsibilities Experience and capability in leading contract management, negotiations, and risk management across large projects, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Lead contract management teams across multiple projects and accounts; collaborate with account leadership and client stakeholders to understand client needs and priorities; set account strategy, objectives, and opportunities.
Develop contract management staff and support performance management across projects and accounts.
Identify, escalate, and resolve commercial and contract risks and issues in collaboration with leadership to ensure optimal outcomes for all parties.
Engage in pre-award activities, assist with deal shaping, negotiate commercial and contractual outcomes with sales teams and business leadership, including contract drafting support.
Contract Managers are client-facing and build trusted relationships with client counterparts.
What you\'ll bring Education: Bachelor\'s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Membership: Member of World Commerce and Contracting (formerly IACCM) or NCMA and/or professional certification is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Experience supervising investigations (compliance, employment, governmental) and drafting confidential reports for senior leadership.
Knowledge of local ethical/conduct/compliance risks, employee rights and obligations, and related laws.
Extensive experience in employee relations and workplace investigations.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a contract manager with exposure to complex deals and proven team management experience.
Ability to collaborate with client executives at all levels and influence key commercial and contracting decisions.
Strong understanding of commercial contracting regulations, subcontracting practices, and terms and conditions.
