About the Role
Based in Shepparton, Victoria, this clinical position involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for care staff and Enrolled Nurses. You will lead clinical assessments, implement evidence-based interventions, and ensure all care practices meet regulatory standards and deliver positive outcomes for residents, their families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support care staff with clinical expertise and mentorship
* Manage staff performance, rosters, and professional development
* Deliver resident-focused care that respects individual values and beliefs
* Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, personalised care plans
* Oversee medical interventions and specialised nursing needs
* Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all care activities
* Communicate effectively with families, staff, and external health providers
* Identify and report risks to the Facility Manager
* Ensure compliance with Aged Care Standards and organisational policies
* Drive continuous quality improvement and stakeholder satisfaction
* Implement and monitor infection control procedures
* Manage compliments, complaints, and feedback professionally
* Contribute to budgetary oversight and safe workplace culture
Essential skills and attributes (selection criteria):
* Registered Division 1 Nurse with current National Practicing Registration
* Two years' experience post completion of graduate year
* Demonstrated leadership skills in managing large teams
* Excellent problem-solving and care planning skills
* Experience in clinical and staff management of a unit/facility
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and is self-motivated
* Proficient with computerised documentation systems and records
* Experience in residential aged care setting
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team
* The candidate must be available to work across evening and night shifts as part of the facility's care schedule.
