Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sourdough Artisan to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking high-quality sourdough breads and pastries using traditional methods.
* Mixing fermenting shaping and baking sourdough bread and other artisanal baked goods.
* Working with large batch sourdough production in a physically demanding environment.
* Ensuring consistent quality texture and presentation across all products.
* Following food safety hygiene and WHS requirements at all times.
* Collaborating with the team to refine processes and maintain high standards.
* Assisting with production planning where required.
* Performing daily cleaning equipment care and general bakery maintenance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 1 year professional baking experience ideally with sourdough and/or pastry.
* Strong understanding of fermentation dough development shaping proofing and baking techniques.
* Ability to work efficiently and reliably in a fast-paced production environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
* Ability to work early morning shifts typically starting between 330am–430am Tuesday–Friday and Saturday.
