We are seeking an ICT Operations Manager to join the City and Environment Directorate embedded ICT support team. This position works within Digital Canberra providing ICT operations support to the City and Environment Directorate. The role leads a small team of ICT and administrative staff and is responsible for the delivery of Directorate specific ICT operational support services. This position manages the workload allocations and outputs of the team providing operations customer services and advice, request and incident management and performing ICT audits, reporting and change requests.
The position works closely with business areas and internal and external stakeholders, including Digital Canberra, to ensure effective ICT service delivery, integration and continuous improvement. The role contributes to medium‐ and long‐term ICT planning, develops feasible options and strategies, and ensures compliance with relevant policies, procedures and governance requirements. The role supports the advancement of technology within the Directorate, including supporting Directorate and whole of government projects, business systems and providing ICT knowledge in line with business objectives. As a people leader, the role includes direct supervision, mentoring and capability development of staff, fostering a professional, collaborative and accountable team culture aligned with ACTPS values.

* Knowledge and experience in the use of IT Service Management (ITSM) systems.
* Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, including extensive knowledge and experience in addressing complex ICT support matters and providing expert advice.
* Team leadership experience in delivering agreed business outcomes and solutions by taking initiative, managing resources, and setting clear direction and guidance for team members.
* Adaptability to changing circumstances and multiple priorities and demands in a complex and diverse environment.
