This is a hands-on and varied role, supporting internal stakeholders with timely and efficient ordering, receiving, storing and logistics requirements.
You'll be liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, you'll need well developed interpersonal and communication skills.Key responsibilities include:Ordering, receiving, quality-checking deliveries and storage dutiesVerifying deliveries against purchase orders and invoicesAssisting with maintenance of the inventory management systemMonitoring and maintaining stock levels and stock rotationAssisting with regular stocktakesAssisting with the management of incoming and outgoing conference materialsManual handling and moving moderately heavy itemsMaintaining a clean, organised and safe working environmentAssisting with ad hoc tasks as neededAbout youWe're looking for someone with the motivation and strong work ethic, who can bring their skills and great attitude to compliment the role, within our dynamic hotel environment.Ideally, you'll have:Previous experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of and prior experience with operating inventory management systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsThe ability to plan, prioritise duties and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsA collaborative approach, with the confidence to work independentlyAbout usWe are one of Tasmania's largest and most successful hotels.
