Job Summary

In this role, as a Clinical Specialist, you will work closely with the team to achieve sales revenue and share targets for Perth by providing technical and clinical excellence to implanters and clinical stakeholders. The Aortic and Peripheral Vascular Health portfolio includes peripheral and endovenous therapies that treat patients with conditions such as peripheral and carotid disease, peripheral embolization and superficial and deep venous disease, with products in the drug-coated balloon market.

Responsibilities

* Assist in achieving sales revenue and market share targets for a specified State by assisting the State's Clinical Territory Managers (CTMs) with customer service and support.
* Work with CTMs to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical support.
* Support CTMs through aligned promotion and selling of defined Medtronic products and services to key specialists and technical staff.
* Collaborate with CTMs and the broader team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning, and execute on agreed actions.
* Pro‐actively meet with CTMs and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state.
* Support sales and marketing programs with specific complimentary activities as provided by the Marketing team.
* Play a lead role in technical in‐services, presentations and training to specified customers in consultation with Clinical Territory Managers and Divisional Staff.
* Practice effective communication by feeding back information regarding commercial and clinical opportunities and intelligence to relevant CTM, CS, BDM and other divisional staff.
* Utilize Salesforce.com.
* Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goals.
* Support Territory Managers with inventory control, including expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed.
* Support clinical study activities in conjunction with the Territory Manager and the Clinical Research team.
* Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
* Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
* Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
* Retrieve all expiring product from field locations and return to the warehouse prior to expiry.
* All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
* Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
* All other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirement

Less than 25%.

Knowledge and Experience

* A bachelor's degree in Nursing qualifications, general science degree, or similar preferred.
* At least 1‐3 years experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent medical sales/Allied Health experience and/or Nursing background.
* Comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge, including clinical papers.
* Good clinical and business relationships with customers.
* Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs, theatres, departments, e.g., purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling and key influencers.
* Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
* Maintain a valid driver's license.

Physical Job Requirements

Perform duties in compliance with local Quality System, environmental, health and safety rules, and governmental regulations.
