With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and a dynamic, collaborative team culture, Viscon continues to secure exciting new projects across the Melbourne metro area and beyond.As our client's business continues to grow, they are now seeking an experienced and qualified Formwork Carpenter to join their productive team and help deliver on a range of exciting new projects.The firm is based in Moorabbin, VIC, with projects taking you across the metro area and, where necessary, beyond.Responsibilities of our Formwork Carpenter will include:·Read and adhere to all safety requirements and SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements).·Read drawings and specifications to identify formwork and temporary work requirements.·Build and construct drainage structures.·Install and position horizontal and vertical formwork components, including drilling and installing hold-down bolts and fasteners to walls and floors where required.·Assemble formwork panels on-site, including installation of metal props, brackets, and clamps.·Strip formwork using physical and mechanical means.·Work at heights and off EWPs, scissor lifts, and scaffolding.·Work safely with and around chemicals such as form oils, curing agents, epoxy, sealants, mortar, and grout.·Contribute to a team environment with a strong sense of camaraderie and pride.**To be successfully considered for the role, you:**·Hold an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV; alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.·Have at least one year (preferably more) of post-qualification experience in a similar role.·Possess well-developed industry knowledge of building and construction.·Demonstrate competency in completing decks (start to finish), beams, and vertical in-situ elements such as columns, walls, and downturns; familiarity with stair form is valued.·Show a strong commitment to working safely and productively at all times.·Have strong attention to detail and experience with relevant documentation.·Demonstrate solid problem-solving and customer service skills.·Hold a solid OH&S awareness and are physically fit.·Are a happy, collaborative team member committed to delivering work on time and to high standards.Can provide solid industry references.Are seeking full-time salaried employment (this role is not suitable for subcontractors).**You must have unrestricted full-time Australian working rights to be considered.**This is a great opportunity to join a growing leader in the concrete construction industry and to deepen your already strong trade skills in a growing, dynamic, and advanced environment.
