CDU is the only Northern Territory (NT)-based university and, as a place-based regional institution, is deeply embedded in our local communities. The CDU Menzies Medical Program is a medical program designed to graduate and retain more First Nations and local resident doctors in the NT to serve the health needs of the NT population.
About the Position
As the Administrative Assistant (Student Support), you will be responsible for providing front-line administrative support to students in the CDU Menzies Medical Program, facilitating their participation in theoretical and clinical components. The role focuses on helping students navigate organisational systems and processes to ensure timely and effective engagement.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Demonstrated administrative support experience in a tertiary education or similar setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex processes simply and clearly.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
* High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the agility to learn new software and systems rapidly.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, including prioritising competing tasks effectively.
* High level of initiative, discretion, and reliability in handling confidential and sensitive material.
Desirable
* Previous experience in student services, academic administration, or clinical placement coordination.
* Familiarity with CDU systems and processes, or similar higher education platforms.
* Awareness of challenges faced by First Nations or rural/remote students.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037 - $74,456 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943 - $87,113 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
