Support maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and reliable operation and maintenance of the Tamar Valley Power Station (TVPS).
Responsibilities
* Support the Electrical operation of our Gas operated fleet.
* Contribute to Hydro's renewable story.
* Planning and delivering electrical maintenance activities, including outages and routine work.
* Diagnosing and solving electrical issues using root cause analysis and predictive techniques.
* Maintaining accurate records in the CMMS and reporting on progress and trends.
* Providing technical advice and sourcing parts and services to keep the plant running smoothly.
* Collaborating with the team, sharing knowledge, and adapting to new technologies and changes.
* Keeping yourself and others safe by following safety systems, procedures, and regulations.
* Participating in the call‑out roster, liaising with contractors, and sourcing maintenance goods and services.
Qualifications
* Qualified Electrical Technician with a current licence.
* Experience in LV/HV distribution, electrical testing, and fault finding.
* Skill in interpreting schematics, coordinating electrical activities, and leading teams.
* Strong problem‑solving abilities, planning skills, and a commitment to OH&S.
* Supervisory experience, excellent communication, and proficiency with computer systems.
* Desirable extras: instrumentation, fire protection systems, exposure to generation environments, HV switchyards, and industrial communication systems.
