Job Description
Undertakes independent and objective internal audits to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Provides expert advice to the DBCA Corporate Executive and senior management for the purpose of improving organisational performance.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following three (3) essential criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total.
1. Demonstrated experience in conducting internal audits that bring value to an organisation, including demonstrated experience in controls, risk, and business process reviews.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary auditing and risk management concepts and techniques, and ability to apply innovative thinking to achieve strategic and corporate aims in the business management context.
3. Demonstrated ability to conduct complex audits and investigations, including applying legislation, policy, procedures, and guidelines, and being able to plan, interview and report effectively having consideration for the rules of evidence and natural justice.
Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
