Due to their extensive track record and highly capable teams of professionals, our client is capable of tackling projects from highways to house extensions. Despite the variety of works, every project receives the same level of care, attention, and governance to ensure quality deliverables within scheduled timeframes.
As a result of the on-going industry activity, we are now searching for the next Principal for their Gold Coast office.
**The Role**
As the Principal Planner, your primary objective is to contribute to sustainable, profit generation and strategic growth while maintaining the organization's existing reputation for quality and capability.
As such, your role would require you to take on full responsibility for the office's planning function. Specifically, this would include:
- Staff management including task delegation, professional development, and recruitment
- Improve and maintain existing client relationships
- Develop new strategic relationships

**You**
To be successful in the role, you will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Relevant qualification such as a tertiary qualification in Town, Urban, or Environmental Planning
- Experience in a similar role or Senior Town Planning role background (ideally ten years of local Australian experience)
- High level understanding of, and ability to, interpret relevant QLD Planning Legislation
- Exemplary written English - ability to produce concise, succinct professional correspondence and reports
- Passion for town planning
- Ability to mentor and development junior staff
