Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across automation and quality practices. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on test automation, framework development, and CI/CD integration, rather than people management.
You will work closely with engineering and product teams to define test strategies, uplift quality standards, and ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable digital solutions across web and API platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement automation-first test strategies
* Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
* Provide technical leadership and guidance on quality practices
* Contribute hands-on to automated and manual testing activities
* Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
* Collaborate with engineers and product teams across complex platforms
Technical Skills & Experience
* 3+ years in a QA Lead or Quality Engineering Lead role within enterprise environments
* Strong experience in test automation frameworks and tooling
* Proficiency in Java or JavaScript
* Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar modern automation tools
* Experience testing web applications and REST APIs
* Solid understanding of Agile delivery and DevOps practices
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps
* Financial services or superannuation experience is advantageous
