We have a full time, permanent opportunity available for Operator Maintainer based at NRG Power Station in Gladstone. In this role, reporting to the Team Leader of Ash Operations, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the plant. Your daily responsibilities will include operating the ash processing plant, performing equipment maintenance, sampling and testing ash quality, recording results, and coordinating with power station personnel.

The position offers a Monday-to-Friday roster, with hours from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, and includes weekend work once a month.

As an Operator Maintainer, you will:

- Contribute to a safe work environment for self and others, actively participating in safety meetings, observations and toolbox talks. Comply with Power Station & Cement Australia SHEQ policies and procedures
- Operate control systems, perform scheduled and reactive maintenance of ash process related equipment including pneumatic conveying equipment, pneumatic systems and valves
- Monitor product quality through sample taking, analysis & minor reporting
- Commission plant equipment when required
- Maintain ash stocks to appropriate and practical levels
- Engage with Cement Australia Supply Chain & Logistics and others regarding site rules and power station requirements
- Ensure all customer deliveries are to specification and delivered on time

Requirements:

- Computer Skills including SAP highly regarded
- Experience in a similar role with previous process operator experience is essential
- Motor Vehicle, forklift, scissor lift and EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Licences
- Strong safety focus
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Trouble-shooting ability and root cause analysis skills
- Ability and willingness to flex shift patterns and ash processing sites as required for breakdowns, leave or coverage - this includes weekend, public holiday work and call outs
