Job Summary
The Field Installer Repairer is crucial for delivering end-to-end installation of Telstra’s telecommunications networks. This role involves installing and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal service delivery.
About the role
As a Field Service Technician, you will operate independently to activate and verify telecommunications and technology products and services at customer premises, providing excellent customer experience. You will work within a diverse team to achieve customer and business outcomes, with positions available across various locations. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the targeted area.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform seamless service rectification and product installations to customer satisfaction.
- Maintain and install copper cables, including fault finding, jointing, and networking.
- Manage fibre and core network technologies and data services.
- Maintain and install Customer Premises Equipment for both consumer and business clients.
- Diagnose faults over copper networks, especially in rural or remote areas.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold relevant licenses and qualifications, including:
- Certificate I & II in Telecommunications
- Open cabling license
- Traffic management qualifications
- Industry white card
Training for traffic management and white card certificates is available. Vaccination against Covid-19 is required for this role, with accommodations discussed on an individual basis.
