About this Role
* As a Review Officer, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day tasks related to external reviews in line with the RTI Act and IP Act, under the guidance of a delegated decision maker.
Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring timely progression of reviews are essential tasks. Effective communication with stakeholders via phone and in writing is also crucial for gathering information, clarifying issues, and promoting resolution.
Building rapport and maintaining professional relationships with applicants, agencies, and other parties involved in the review process are key to success in this role.
You will need to identify and analyse key legal and factual issues with consideration for participant interests and the role of the Information Commissioner, conducting statutory interpretation and legal research to inform review strategies and support decision-making requires strong analytical skills.
Briefing delegated decision makers with concise, well-researched summaries of findings and legal considerations is an important responsibility. Drafting clear and accessible reasons for decision and preliminary view correspondence in Plain English is also essential.
This role involves collaborating with colleagues to resolve complex matters and contributing to a cohesive team environment, which is vital for the success of the team.
Additionally, you will be required to support organisational learning by contributing to internal knowledge management resources and documenting precedents, ensuring that best practices are shared across the organisation.
