The resort offers a unique opportunity to work in a relaxed coastal environment with a sense of adventure. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager to develop innovative menus, considering product availability, pricing strategies, marketing conditions, and more.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled chefs, cooks, bakers, and kitchen stewards to achieve exceptional results
 * Plan and create menus that cater to diverse tastes, taking into account product availability, pricing, marketing conditions, and more
 * Analyze guest feedback, satisfaction rates, and associate satisfaction information daily to drive improvement
 * Create kitchen schedules based on operating forecasts, working within budget parameters
 * Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to health and safety procedures, manual handling guidelines, and company policies
 * Develop and implement effective training programs, certification processes, performance evaluations, staff rostering, and recruitment strategies
Requirements
 * Proven experience in a similar leadership role with a track record of success
 * Experience working in high-volume kitchens with a focus on quality and efficiency
 * Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery qualification
 * Diploma in Hospitality Management (highly regarded)
 * HACCP and Food Safety and Hygiene certifications
 * Licence to live and work in Australia
