Business Developer & Project Manager - Water Supply (Melbourne, Victoria)

We are looking for a Business Developer and Project Manager for our Melbourne and Sydney offices.
The role focuses on developing and implementing the Water Supply strategy nationally, acquiring new clients, managing bidding activities, negotiating contracts, and leading projects from planning to commissioning.
Key duties and responsibilities
Develop and implement business strategies to expand the company's footprint in the water supply sector.
Identify and analyse market trends and the competitive landscape.
Acquire new clients and maintain existing customer relationships.
Prepare offers and handle contracting.
Negotiate with clients.
Lead and manage water supply projects from planning to commissioning.
Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and environmental standards.
Manage budgeting and resource allocation for projects.
Requirements
Master's degree in hydraulic engineering or a related field.
3–5 years of business development experience (or equivalent).
10+ years of technical experience and project management in water supply or infrastructure in Australia, with at least 5 years in technical delivery.
Knowledge of local water supply systems, technical standards, and environmental regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-relationship skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lead and motivate project teams and a team-player mindset.
Proficiency in project-management software and Microsoft Office.

Salary: $80,******–$150,****** per annum, fixed-term contract.
