About The Role
The Level 1/2 Occupational therapist role within the Mental Health Recovery Unit is an important member of the multidisciplinary team contributing to consumers care within the well-established 8 week voluntary program. The role is an opportunity to work with adults from various backgrounds, in an empowering and supportive environment, demonstrating recovery orientated practice and trauma informed care. Within this position, you will be supported by the Mental Health Recovery Unit Level 3 Occupational Therapist, alongside the wider Allied Health team in the mental health inpatient services.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Delivering high quality recovery services to consumers in accordance with the ethics and standards established AHPRA for Occupational therapists. The Occupational Therapist will provide professional recovery-oriented services to both consumers and families/carers through interventions such as:
Psychosocial assessment
Identification of goals
Motivational interviewing
Guidance and support to achieve goals
The provision of information
Referral and advocacy
Group program design, implementation, facilitation and evaluation

Renumeration: $76, $108,943.00 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

What We Are Looking For
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Good time management skills.
Passion for helping others.
Working with Children Check.
