Join a growing records management service supporting the Diocese of Townsville

Part Time – 22.5 hours per week

The Catholic Diocese of Townsville is seeking an Administration Officer – Records Management to join the Diocesan Archive and Records Management Service (DARMS).

This role supports the secure management, digitisation and administration of records across diocesan agencies, helping ensure compliance, transparency and effective governance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Diocesan Archive and Records Management, the Administration Officer supports records management operations including digitisation, indexing and retrieval of records.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with digitisation and processing of physical and electronic records
• Maintaining registers, databases and information management systems
• Supporting secure storage, retrieval and management of records
• Providing administrative support for records management activities
• Responding to authorised records enquiries
• Assisting with the implementation of records management processes across diocesan agencies

About You

To succeed in this role you will demonstrate:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Experience maintaining databases, records or information systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and within a team

Experience in records management, information governance or office administration will be highly regarded.

Additional Requirements

The successful applicant will require:

• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Criminal History Check
• Current driver licence
