About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this role is to provide accounting and bookkeeping services within a public practice environment. Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of financial reports and income tax returns for multiple entity types
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS returns for small to medium businesses clients
* Assisting business clients with compliance and management matters advisory
* Undertaking general public practice accounting across a range of industries sectors
* Managing the outsourcing and offshore work that is is utilised by the business as a third party
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders to manage queries and ongoing requirements effectively
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum one years’ experience in public practice accounting or bookkeeping roles
* Experience working with small to medium business clients across multiple industries
* Exposure to multiple entity types including companies, trusts, SMSFs, and individuals
* Working knowledge of accounting software including Handisoft, MYOB, Xero, Reckon, Access
* Strong understanding of accounting systems with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating reliability and strong organisation
