About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Meter Data Analyst (Embedded Networks) to join our Billing team at Diamond Energy. The role ensures that all meter data is available in the Energy Management System (EMS) to support timely and accurate billing across Embedded Networks.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate receival of data from utility meters inside embedded networks (electricity, gas, water, etc.) and validate the information for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with metering co‐ordinators, meter data providers, and field technicians to ensure timely and accurate meter data is received.
- Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure that the meter data is accurate, consistent, and free from discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve any issues with missing, incomplete, or incorrect data in the system.
- Process and enter manual meter readings into utility billing systems, ensuring that data is correctly mapped to the respective customer accounts; monitor automated meter data management systems for efficient data flow and flag any anomalies.
- Analyze meter data to identify usage trends, potential discrepancies, or patterns of interest; generate regular reports for internal teams, management, and external stakeholders on meter data, usage statistics, and performance metrics.
- Ensure seamless integration of meter data with other operational systems such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Energy Management Suit (EMS); troubleshoot integration issues and work with IT teams to resolve any technical challenges.
- Liaise with meter data providers and metering co‐ordinators to rectify communication issues, substitute data instances, and resolve other issues.
- Own processes for successfully processing manual read data into the system.
- Implement and maintain up‐to‐date technical procedure documents related to EN meter data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in utility meter data management, metering systems, or related fields.
- Knowledge of utility metering systems and technologies.
- Experience in meter data management across distributed energy resources (PV, BESS, EV) highly desirable.
- Experience in embedded network meter data management preferred, especially for electricity, gas, and hot water.
- Experience with automated meter reading (AMR) systems, smart meters, or utility data management systems preferred.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding utility services and metering practices preferred.
- Experience with manual (non‐communications) metering preferred.
- Industry knowledge in other utility services such as gas, air‐conditioning, and telecommunications preferred.
- Understanding of Distributed Energy Resources such as PV solar and EV charging preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem‐solving ability with experience in data capture tools such as Excel, Power BI reporting, and SQL.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities effectively.
- Excellent data management, analytical, organizational, and time‐management skills.
- Proficiency with data management software, programming languages (e.g., SQL), and Excel.
- Experience with CRM, Billing, and EMS systems.
- Problem‐solving skills with attention to detail and ability to follow through on commitments.
- Track record of delivering high‐quality, accurate work within defined timeframes.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
