Your opportunity
The Faculty of Health is seeking Casual Nursing Academics to support teaching across the Bachelor of Nursing, EN-RN Pathway, and Graduate Entry Master of Nursing programs. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about education and interested in transitioning into academic teaching or expanding their teaching portfolio.
You will make an impact by:
* Delivering tutorials, lectures and clinical laboratory classes
* Providing clinical supervision to support student learning and readiness
* Marking assessments and applying consistent academic standards
* Engaging with students to support progression and successful outcomes
While some teaching activities occur at scheduled times, other duties (such as marking) offer flexibility and can be completed online.
What you will bring
You are a qualified and experienced nursing professional who is passionate about enhancing the graduate outcomes of our future healthcare providers. You are committed to leading best-practice principles in education and clinical care, with a strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for patients. You bring energy, professionalism and a genuine desire to support students to succeed through high-quality, engaging teaching.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse
* At least five years' postgraduate clinical and/or teaching experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to student engagement, academic integrity and teamwork
Teaching qualifications and/or postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Your opportunity is:
* Casual academic
* Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225 (includes areas from Tweed Heads to Brisbane), or Lismore, NSW 2480 (includes areas such as Ballina, Alstonville, Grafton and Casino).
* Hourly rates are paid in accordance with the University's Enterprise Agreement and vary depending on duties performed and qualifications. More information can be found here.
* Marking: $54.80 – $65.16 per hour
* Tutorial delivery: $164.40 – $130.33 for one hour delivery plus associated working time
