Alphacrucis University College (AC) invites applications for the position of Project Officer: Archivist, a unique opportunity to support the largest collection of Pentecostal and charismatic materials in Australia.
About The Role
Working within the Australasian Pentecostal Studies Centre (APSC) of Alphacrucis University College (AC), this position involves cataloguing and maintaining a diverse range of archival materials — from early Pentecostal journals and denominational magazines to personal letters, photographs, and rare media items.
You'll play a key role in supporting the preservation of Australasia's rich Pentecostal heritage while contributing to meaningful academic research.
Key Responsibilities
* Catalogue archival materials, identifying and describing content accurately
* Prepare and scan items upon request
* Organize and relocate physical files and archival boxes as needed
About You
You are self-motivated, methodical, and thrive in both independent and collaborative work. You bring a heart for Christian ministry, value historical preservation, and take pride in attention to detail.
Required Skills & Attributes
* Practicing Christian with active church involvement
* Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in archives, records management, or a related field
* Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills
* Strong time management and organizational abilities
* Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences
* Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment
* Comfortable performing manual handling tasks
