A West Australian SME engineering company, our client has been in operation for over 30 years and is now seeking to bring their Financial Controller function in-house.
Description
Reporting into the Executive General Manager, this role will manage the company's end-to-end accounting function, with the key responsibilities including:
* Using XERO to oversee the day-to-day financial bookkeeping of the company.
* Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Manage cash flow and financial planning to support business objectives.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, including General Manager.
* Manage Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll function.
Profile
The successful candidate will possess
* CA or CPA qualification.
* XERO system experience (required).
* Prior background working in a SME environment ($1-$20m).
* Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
* Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
