Lead the Commission’s finance and procurement functions to ensure financial integrity, robust controls, and value-for-money outcomes while supporting the welfare and integrity of the NSW greyhound racing industry.

The Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission is an independent statutory body established under the Greyhound Racing Act 2017. The Commission promotes and protects greyhound welfare, safeguards industry integrity, and maintains public confidence in greyhound racing and betting. The opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Manager, Finance & Procurement is a key leadership role responsible for strategic financial management, procurement governance and compliance with NSW Treasury and public sector requirements. The role provides authoritative financial advice to the Executive, oversees statutory reporting and budgeting, and ensures the effective management of the Commission’s procurement and contract portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing finance and procurement team, fostering a culture of compliance, continuous improvement and customer focus. You will ensure financial and procurement activities support operational priorities while mitigating risk and maintaining the highest standards of probity.
The role will also play a pivotal part in supporting organisational decision-making, managing complex financial data, and influencing outcomes across the Commission and external stakeholders. With multiple programs and contracts, this role is central to ensuring integrated, efficient and accountable financial and procurement practices.
About you
You are a senior finance professional with extensive public sector experience. You bring credible, inclusive leadership and can motivate teams to achieve excellence in a complex regulatory environment.
You bring a deep understanding of NSW Treasury requirements, the Government Sector Finance Act 2018, and procurement policy, along with the ability to advise on strategic financial decisions and lead organisational change. You are collaborative, solutions-focused, and capable of maintaining focus on delivery while supporting longer-term financial and operational objectives.
You will bring:
* Senior leadership experience in finance or procurement within the NSW public sector
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering high performance and compliance
* Expertise in statutory financial reporting, risk management, budgeting, and forecasting
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across government, industry, and suppliers
* Experience establishing and managing procurement frameworks and contract portfolios
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, commerce or related fields, or equivalent experience
