As the Manager Corporate Governance and Performance, you will be responsible for proactively leading the delivery of quality corporate governance initiatives and managing Council's obligations under the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework.

If you have qualifications and experience in project management, business or strategic planning as well as an interest in governance, insurance, strategic risk management and corporate planning, this is the position for you.

* Permanent, full-time position – thirty-five (35) hours per week.

Responsibilities
* Overseeing the effective and efficient management of the functional areas of governance, insurance, strategic risk management, corporate planning and reporting.
* Establishing and facilitating Council's Corporate Planning and Reporting processes to implement the Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements of the Local Government Act and ensure continued compliance.
* Overseeing the production of key corporate documents including the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Operational Plan, Annual Report and Operational Performance reports.
* Ensuring that Council has the policies, processes and documentation in place to support the achievement of its strategies and to meet legislative requirements. Act as the custodian (and quality controller) of the Corporate Governance Framework.
* Acting as the custodian of complaints management processes and systems and being the Liaison Officer for the State integrity agencies, including the NSW Ombudsman, Office of Local Government and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
* Acting as the custodian of the policy register and structure to ensure consistency in policy development, periodic review for relevance and need and communication of policies to Council and community.
* Acting as custodian of the enterprise risk management system and providing leadership of a risk culture across the organisation, including business continuity planning.
* Overseeing and coordinating corporate project reporting processes, including the monitoring, analysis and reporting of major projects.
* Coordinating an annual program of service reviews, including the scheduling, scoping, preparation and presentation of final reports.
* Coordinating Council and Committee meetings, including the scheduling and preparation of business papers and minutes.
Qualifications and experience
* Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Certificate IV Business or Project Management.
* A current Class C Driver's Licence.
* Demonstrated experience relevant to the role including project management, business or strategic planning.
