Join our team today.About the roleWith an exciting brownfields hard-rock mining project on the horizon, we're seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Located near Southern Cross, these roles are offered on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or a DIDO roster from surrounding towns.ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring othersManage and execute maintenance work using productive servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times and schedule complianceEnsure that work is completed within budget and resourcesAssist the Maintenance Manager and Superintendents in implementing safety plansPlay an active role in incident investigationsDevelop and strengthen key internal and external stakeholder relationshipsAbout youYou will be a high-achieving, team-focused individual with a cooperative mindset and drive to deliver in a mining environment; experience in open cut coal mining is preferred.Mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineeringExtensive post-trade or relevant mobile maintenance experience in a mining environmentPrevious supervisory experienceStrong commitment to health, safety, environment and the communityStrong written and oral communication skillsProven experience in maintenance planning and condition monitoringAbility to work in a high-pressure environmentKnowledge of relevant mining legislationWhat Thiess can do for youPermanent full time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training and developmentSalary sacrifice options – flights and novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance and travel and retail productsAbout usWe partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
