About the job

We are looking for an Equipment Management Superintendent (EMS) with a passion for people to join the team. Working a Monday through Friday day schedule, you can be home each night.

You will direct a team of Supervisors and their crews to implement maintenance across the Calcination and shipping area (OC4/5) at Kwinana. You are tasked to raise the overall maintenance efficiency by eliminating barriers to improvements, improving our people capability, and the alignment of these efforts

Your role is vital to our business, being the single point of accountability for all maintenance activities in the operating center. Reporting directly to the Department Manager and functionally to the Location Maintenance and Reliability Manager.

Although this role is based on a Monday to Friday roster, given the nature of a 24/7 operation there may be times where you are called upon for assistance outside of the normal working hours. You will also form part of a rotation "on call" roster with all of the department lead team.

The EMS is accountable for leading all aspects of maintenance work management (both Planned and Unplanned) which includes the following:

- Sustained achievements and improvements in the equipment management process through engagement with the Alcoa problem solving process- Daily functions involving safety, environment, people management, budget planning, cost and forecasting control,- Linking objectives into achievable activity plans, empowering our personnel to achieve them- Managing maintenance resources, our people, external service providers and the work environment they operate within.- EH&S management (for their teams and assets)- Equipment health, integrity, reliability and performance of their area assets- Major Overhaul Management (alongside the MOH Alliance Team)- Deployment of REX (Reliability Excellence Program) to target state- Development and coaching in the REX principles of accountable personnel- Execution of work management activities including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution and close out- Maintenance functional systems and processes - including materials management- Continuous Improvement, productivity & performance associated with assets and people- The role requires you to be accountable for ensuring all assets in their department have a digitised quality EMS translated into the standard REX work management system, accurately in line with requirements in the EAM (Equipment Asset Management) System and EBS/Stores systems.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant trade qualifications are well regarded,- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build, develop, and encourage success in teams, inclusive of coaching and mentoring,-
- Exposure to managing maintenance budgets, maintenance equipment management and repair strategies, and project planning,- An effective approach to change management leading to positive outcomes and sustained employee engagement- Direct experience with large scale materials handling and/or milling systems will be highly regarded,-
- Proven understanding and the capability to lead the Equipment Maintenance Strategies (EMS) which are developed in conjunction with Reliability Engineering.
