Position Overview
We are seeking hardworking, reliable and motivated Labourers to join our onsite teams. This role involves performing a variety of routine construction and manual tasks that support our project delivery across multiple sectors, including building works, civil infrastructure, site preparation and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Labourer at Duratec, your duties may include (but are not limited to):
* Loading, unloading and transporting construction materials, tools and equipment around work sites in a safe and orderly manner.
* Preparing and maintaining site work areas, including clearing, levelling and compacting ground surfaces.
* Erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as barricades, safety barriers and scaffolding.
* Assisting tradespeople and equipment operators by handing tools, mixing and spreading materials (e.g., concrete, gravel, mortar).
* Digging, shovelling and back‑filling trenches or holes as directed.
* Assisting with installation tasks such as laying pipes, fixtures and fittings under supervision.
* Performing general duties such as site clean‑up, waste removal, minor maintenance and housekeeping.
* Following all site safety procedures, participating in toolbox talks, and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
What We're Looking For
* Willingness to work in physically demanding environments and perform manual labour safely.
* Ability to take direction, work cooperatively as part of a team and follow company procedures.
* Excellent reliability and punctuality.
* Experience in construction, labouring or related fields is preferred but not essential – training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Relevant licences (e.g., White Card, HR licence) and certifications are an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
