About the Role

We are a specialist Value-Added IT Distributor operating across RTLS, Wi-Fi, IoT, and safety-critical communications technologies, supporting environments where people safety, operational visibility, and system reliability are critical.

Our work spans healthcare, industrial facilities, correctional and youth justice environments, and mental health settings, places where RTLS is not just about knowing where something is, but about protecting people, supporting workflows, and enabling timely, informed responses in high-pressure situations.

This role exists because, in these environments, RTLS systems must work as designed, every time. Inaccurate location data, delayed alerts, or poorly integrated systems can have immediate and real operational consequences. The choice of RTLS technology, how it is designed, and how it is integrated into live environments all matter.

We are seeking a highly specialised Technical Solutions Consultant to support the design, positioning, and technical pre-sales delivery of real-time location solutions spanning BLE 5.1 (AoA/AoD), Wi-Fi, and UWB, along with the backend platforms and integrations required to operate reliably in 24/7, occupied environments.

This role spans RTLS use cases including staff safety and duress, staff and asset location, workflow visibility, access control, and broader operational optimisation. You will work closely with leadership, customers, and German-speaking, Europe-based technology partners, acting as a trusted technical authority across the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Partner with leadership to align RTLS and location-based technologies with the company's long-term objectives and strategic projects, maintaining awareness of industry developments and emerging capabilities.
* Engage with users, business units, and stakeholders to understand operational needs, objectives, and challenges across healthcare, industrial, and custodial environments. Facilitate workshops and technical discussions to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
* Support the commercial lifecycle of RTLS and location-based technology solutions, including contributing to technical sales reporting and performance tracking across the relevant technology stack.
* Assist with the preparation of technical quotations, solution proposals, statements of work, and associated commercial documentation in collaboration with internal sales and partner teams.
* Support the conversion of technical opportunities into delivered projects by assisting with order preparation, vendor coordination, and technical validation of proposed solutions.
* Create and drive opportunity development activities including identifying potential project opportunities, supporting prospect list development, and assisting with technical engagement of prospective customers and partners.
* Gather detailed requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications and RTLS solution designs suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Design high-level system architectures, integration approaches, and data flows for RTLS solutions spanning BLE 5.1 (AoA/AoD), Wi-Fi, and UWB.
* Assess existing customer environments and systems, identifying gaps and opportunities to optimise RTLS performance, reliability, and usability.
* Support the design of workflows, processes, and user interactions that align system capabilities with real operational use cases such as staff safety, asset tracking, access control, and workflow visibility.
* Engage with third-party technology vendors and partners to support integrated RTLS solutions and ensure technical alignment.
* Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing guidance, insight, and technical assurance throughout the solution lifecycle.
* Support customer enablement through technical briefings, workshops, demonstrations, and structured handovers as required.
* Provide ongoing technical input following deployment, incorporating user feedback and operational learnings into continuous improvement.

Requirements and Experience

This role is intentionally specialised. The successful candidate will bring hands-on, real-world experience selling and delivering RTLS solutions in live, safety-critical environments.

* A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
* 4+ years' experience in a sales with technical pre-sales, solutions consulting, or systems architecture experience desired highly
* Demonstrated experience delivering RTLS solutions spanning BLE 5.1 (AoA/AoD), Wi-Fi, and UWB, with the ability to select the appropriate technology based on accuracy, latency, environmental constraints, and use case.
* Practical experience supporting RTLS use cases such as staff safety and duress, staff and asset location, asset tracking, workflow visibility, and access control.
* Experience working in healthcare and/or other safety-critical environments (including industrial, correctional, youth justice, or mental health settings) where system reliability and accuracy are essential.
* Experience designing, deploying, or supporting RTLS infrastructure and platforms, including:
o Fixed infrastructure (locators, anchors, gateways) integrated into live network
o Backend platforms running on Windows Server and/or containerised (Docker) environments
o Event-driven messaging and integrations (e.g. MQTT, JSON-based APIs, real-time message exchange)
o Node-RED flows supporting production workflows, alerts, and integrations
* Access control concepts, including NFC-based authentication
o Strong end-to-end systems thinking, with the ability to clearly explain complex, multi-technology solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
o Fluent English is essential. Professional working proficiency in German is mandatory, including the ability to participate confidently in technical discussions with European vendors and engineering teams.
o This role is Gold Coast based, operating from our Bilinga office and working closely with the local engineering and leadership teams.
