The Opportunity
We have partnered with a global software business on their search for an experienced investment banker to join their Corporate Development team, on a 6-month fixed contract. The role has strong potential to be made permanent and can be either Sydney or Melbourne based.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute M&A activity across the region, from origination through to completion;
* partner closely with global and regional stakeholders to drive strategic growth initiatives;
* provide senior-level insight and support on transaction strategy, valuation, and structuring;
* manage complex stakeholder relationships across geographies and time zones;
* deliver against clearly defined transaction and execution milestones within the contract period.
About You
You have a minimum of 7 / 8 years’ investment banking M&A experience, coming from an investment bank or a corporate finance advisory firm. You must be comfortable operating at board and executive level and have a clear desire to move from banking to an in-house corporate development position. Prior deal experience with software or technology transactions would be of preference but not a prerequisite.
