Mumbulla School for Rudolf Steiner Education, located in the beautiful Bega Valley on the Far South Coast of NSW, is seeking a visionary and dedicated Head of School to lead our vibrant, independent Steiner primary school into its next chapter. This full-time leadership role reflects our commitment to a holistic, child-centered approach to education grounded in Steiner philosophy.
As Head of School, you will be responsible for the strategic, educational, and operational leadership of the school, working collaboratively with the Board, College of Teachers, management and administration team and the broader school community. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality education, uphold compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a culture of professional growth, wellbeing, and innovation.

* Demonstrated capacity to oversee human, financial, and physical resources effectively.
* Experience in school governance, strategic planning, and policy development.
* Familiarity with relevant employment awards and contracts.
4. Financial literacy
* Demonstrated financial acumen, including the ability to interpret budgets, financial statements, and key performance indicators.
* Experience in working with Boards on financial strategy, risk, and compliance.
* Evidence of making resourcing decisions that balance educational priorities with financial sustainability.
* Capacity to lead within a governance framework that requires accountability for financial outcomes.
5. Community Engagement and Communication
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution and grievance management.
* Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, families, and external stakeholders.
* Experience in media liaison and public relations.
