Overview
Experienced Dietitian required for a hospital-based role in the Northern Territory. You will join a large team of 100 allied health clinicians, including Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Chaplain, and ALO. Accommodation and travel assistance are available. ASAP start until 29 May (3 months also considered).
Responsibilities
* Deliver dietetic services in acute care or renal settings. Caseload includes ICU, paediatrics, renal, surgical general medical, and outpatients, including gastro- with PEG and IBD.
* Engage in professional development opportunities (e.g., eating disorders, motivational interviewing, cultural engagement).
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hospital experience is mandatory.
* Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status or eligibility required.
* Acute care or renal experience preferred.
* Current driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
Details
* Salary range (P2 level): $90,204–$107,554 with salary sacrifice and 12% superannuation; locum rates up to $70 per hour + super may apply depending on experience.
* Alternative P2 salary range: $110,873–$124,173 with salary sacrifice and 12% super.
* Work hours: 8:00 am – 4:21 pm.
* Relocation assistance and on-site accommodation available (less than 5 minutes to walk to work, 10 minutes to town).
* ASAP start until 29 May (3 months also considered).
* Remote trips available if desired.
The team is socially active and inclusive. Approximately 85% of the caseload is Indigenous, with 50% from remote communities. The location offers outdoor lifestyle opportunities and access to natural attractions in the Outback, along with Aboriginal culture experiences. Working in regional Australia provides exposure to a wider range of patients in close-knit communities and opportunities to develop clinical expertise across various healthcare settings.
