Checks damaged, deleted, and defective goods to return-to-vendor inventory. Contacts buyers and suppliers, obtains supplier return authorisation for items, packages return-to-vendor items, and ships them out. Distributes, logs, collects, and keys destroyed merchandise sheets. Documents and tracks out-for-repair items. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.
**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- ** Distribute logs**:
- Collect and key destroyed merchandise sheets from all departments
- Key salvage and salvage-for-credit merchandise with Inventory Auditor and staff-level Manager
- Ensure RTV inventory accurately reflects the RTV physical, return to depot, destroy for credit, salvage, salvage for credit, special handling, and out for repair inventories
- Document and track out-for-repair items
- Organise and accurately process RTV documents and key to system
- Keep RTV inventory at a minimum by obtaining return authorisation and shipping merchandise to the approved destination while following guidelines for disposal of merchandise, agreed upon by buyer and supplier to receive the highest recovery rate possible
- Notify management regarding supplier damage and destroy or shrink issues
- Clean and organise the RTV area
- Secure lock-up items, follow all security procedures, and lock RTV when unattended
- Re-wrap damaged merchandise for sale on the floor
- Learn other positions in the area and assists as needed
- Follow proper Receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards
- Assist in other areas of Receiving as needed
- Provide prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and suppliers.
**_ Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery_**
- Computer, printer, phone, camera, card printer, calculator.
- Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher.
- Licenses/Certifications: None
- Experience/Skills: Costco warehouse experience or comparable, maths skills and basic knowledge of AS400
