We are seeking a highly skilled individual with network architecture expertise to lead strategy, architecture, and design across our Network & Connectivity domain. You will define and maintain architectural standards, develop high‑quality technical designs, and guide the organisation toward secure, scalable, and modern network architectures. This role sits within our Enabling Technology group and collaborates closely with peers across Identity, Cloud, Unified Communications and Infrastructure services — aligning with enterprise strategic goals and technology roadmaps.
As a
Senior Domain Architect
, you will lead the charge in delivering high-quality architectural solutions that align with our organisation's strategic goals. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on the best architectural and design approaches. Your key responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of complex projects, developing and maintaining architectural standards, and providing technical leadership to the team.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and maintain network architecture standards, patterns, strategies, policies and frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture and security requirements.
* Lead the design, documentation, governance and implementation of Network & Connectivity solutions across hybrid, on premises and cloud environments.
* Provide deep subject matter expertise in routing, switching, WAN/LAN, load balancing, DNS, firewalls, segmentation, VPN, wireless and cloud networking.
* Ensure network architectures deliver high availability, resilience, scalability, performance and strong security controls.
* Contribute to technology roadmaps, current state and target state architecture assessments, and transition planning.
* Collaborate with delivery teams, project managers and security architects to ensure accurate implementation and compliance with business needs.
* Work closely with cross domain architects (Cloud, Identity, Unified Communications, Endpoint) for integrated and interoperable architectures.
* Deliver technical advice, R&D, trend analysis, design reviews, operational support and risk assessments.

What you will bring to the role:
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and nontechnical audiences
* Proven experience designing and delivering complex enterprise network solutions across on premise and cloud environments.
* Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF and QoS, plus load balancers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP and secure network segmentation.
* Demonstrated expertise in cloud networking (Azure/AWS VNets, VPCs, peering, private endpoints, NSGs, etc.).
* Experience producing conceptual, high-level and detailed network designs for largescale projects
* Ability to develop and maintain domain strategies, standards, patterns and technical roadmaps.
* Experience integrating network architectures with domains such as Identity, Cloud, Unified Comms, Endpoint or IaaS.
* Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or SABSA, and experience working in large government or enterprise environments.
* Experience with Aviatrix cloud networking solutions.
