The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Process Engineering Project Manager to join our Process Engineering team located in the Cochlear Brisbane Operations office (Newstead) for a 14 months contract.

The Process Engineering Project Manager will lead high-impact, high-visibility projects that shape the future of our manufacturing network. This is your chance to drive innovation, influence strategy, and contribute to products that change lives.

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

You're a technically strong and strategically minded project manager who thrives in complex environments. You're passionate about process excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering outcomes that matter. You're ready to lead, influence, and grow-while staying grounded in purpose.

You will need to demonstrate experience in:

* Leading complex, cross-functional projects from concept to completion

* Developing and implementing robust, scalable manufacturing processes

* Applying Quality Management Systems (QMS) and international regulatory standards

* Influencing stakeholders across R&D, supply chain, and external partners

* Driving continuous improvement and innovation in a regulated environment

* Communicating with clarity and purpose across all levels of the business

Something extra to grab our attention

* Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or Business

* Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent

* Experience in medical device manufacturing or highly regulated industries

* A track record of introducing new technologies or process automation

* Passion for mentoring and developing others
