Our client, a major South Australian State Government department, is seeking an experienced Workforce Business Partner (ASO4) to join their high-performing HR operations team. About the Role
As the Workforce Business Partner, you will provide timely, accurate and customer-focused HR advice across a broad range of workforce matters. Working closely with a Senior Workforce Business Partner, you’ll support HR activities such as recruitment, classification management, performance and conduct matters, industrial relations, WHS and organisational development.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advice and support to managers on HR policies, conditions of employment and legislation
* Assist with recruitment processes, job evaluation documentation, interviews and classification management
* Support performance management, misconduct, and workplace behaviour matters
* Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, letters and HR documentation
* Contribute to workforce planning, HR projects and policy development
* Maintain accurate HR data, reporting, KPI tracking and workforce systems
* Build strong internal stakeholder relationships and model best‑practice HR service delivery
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function
About You
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* HR generalist experience, preferably within government or a complex organisation
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
* Experience using HRIS systems (CHRIS highly regarded)
Essential Requirements
* Experience providing HR advice in a generalist capacity
* Knowledge of HR policies, legislation, awards and public sector conditions
* Relevant clearances (National Police Check, WWCC)
* Compliance with immunisation requirements applicable to the role
