About the role

This role has accountability for supporting the Digital Category Managers in growing profitable category sales by satisfying customer needs. They focus on maintaining supplier relationships and executing the customer-centric category strategy online as devised by the Digital Category Manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for trade and promotional planning within the business category area, including estimates and forecasts to drive an improved offer and strong margin performance.
* Responsible for building strong supplier relationships to support ongoing promotional activity and trade plans.
* Assisting with driving growth and executing the plan for CFC Production rooms

About You

* Experience working in entry level or first tier capacity at a customer-centric FMCG and/or retail environment.
* Experience obtaining and working with customer analytics and insights.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience applying this to interpret industry dynamics and competitive retail landscape.
* Knowledge of merchandising function and processes (pricing, promotions, etc.) (supply chain, marketing, etc.).
* Strong analytical skills demonstrated through proactively sourcing customer insights and data to formulate category recommendations (e.g. range, pricing etc.).
* Proven ability to swiftly adjust as required to deal with the rapidly changing environment.
* Experienced in supplier relationships.
* Can work within a regulatory framework that sets out behavioural and process guidelines.
* Viewed as a respected, trusted and collaborative team member.
* Ability to work within company and regulatory policies and processes.
