Senior Greenspace Manager Opportunity
Dubbo Regional Council is seeking an experienced Senior Greenspace Manager to lead our recreation services and natural resource management teams.
* Developing and implementing strategic plans, including the Open Space Master Plan, Recreation Plan, and Street Tree Master Plans.
* Overseeing the maintenance and operations of parks, sporting facilities, street trees, and cemeteries across the Local Government Area.
* Managing asset life cycles, including planning, monitoring, and replacement to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
* Acting as the control authority for biosecurity, managing weed and pest control in accordance with NSW legislation.
* Leading and supporting teams in delivering recreation services, including aquatic facilities and community event coordination.
This newly created senior manager position will unite and strengthen two previously distinct teams, delivering stronger collaboration, increased efficiency, and enhanced results for the community.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Open Space Management, Landscape Architecture, Natural Resource Management, or related discipline.
* Extensive experience in parks and recreation management, open space planning, or natural resource management at a senior management level with responsibility for large operational teams.
* Highly developed communication, leadership, and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and elected representatives.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in strategic planning, operational delivery, and asset management.
* Comprehensive experience in Total Asset Management, contract management, budget preparation, and financial monitoring for both operational services and capital works programs.
* Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes and deliver complex projects within regulatory frameworks.
* Experience in grant funding applications, volunteer management, and community engagement programs for recreation and natural resource management initiatives.

* Demonstrated experience in the administration of the Biosecurity Act 2015 or related environmental legislation and regulatory compliance.
