The City of Greater Bendigo is in central Victoria on Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Country. Located 90 minutes' drive from Melbourne, Bendigo offers a warm country feel with city amenities. We have two Environmental Health Officer roles to join the Community & Environmental Health unit: one full-time ongoing position and one full-time parental leave backfill position until December 2026.
Role
Two Environmental Health Officers are sought to monitor, investigate, resolve and provide advice on public health matters in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
About You
* You will have experience in Environmental Health, preferably in Victorian Local Government, with the ability to work with minimal supervision while planning and managing workload to meet deadlines and objectives.
* You will have a strong commitment to teamwork, with excellent problem-solving, communication and conflict resolution skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in an environmental health discipline or other qualifications that satisfy membership requirements of Environmental Health Australia.
* A satisfactory police records check and Working with Children Check is required for this position.
