Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team.
The Team Leader will lead a team by providing supervision, professional development, and quality assurance in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory delegations.
This role involves supporting team members who provide outreach services in collaboration with the Queensland Police Service, including responses to critical incidents and complex situations, suicide risk management, and complex cases.
The Team Leader will also participate in strategic and operational planning, reviews, and key decision-making within the youth justice service centre staff and management teams.
In addition, this role requires developing collaborative, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation on case-related matters and restorative justice processes.
* Provide supervision and professional development to staff in the use of evidenced-based skills, programs, and processes associated with reductions in reoffending.
* Support team members who provide outreach services in collaboration with the Queensland Police Service, including responses to critical incidents and complex situations, suicide risk management, and complex cases.
* Allocate, prioritize, perform, and quality assure individual tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory delegations.
* Participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of contemporary, evidence-based practice in working with young offenders, including relevant accreditation as required.
* Provide timely advice and assistance on complex matters to ensure the delivery of quality youth justice casework and restorative justice practices.
* Contribute to strategic and operational planning, reviews, and key decision-making within the youth justice service centre staff and management teams.
* Develop collaborative, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation on case-related matters and restorative justice processes.
* Undertake and oversee data capturing to ensure quality and consistency, including reporting to direct line managers on the progress of the model, where required.
* Assist in identifying trends and issues in client service delivery and evaluating client outcomes, including performance reporting, to ensure coordinated local service delivery.
* Provide ongoing professional development, supervision, and leadership to staff.
