About the Role
* 1837 Barossa is looking for an experienced Floor Supervisor, a leader, and a storyteller. Reporting to the Restaurant Owners, you'll be their go-to support—working closely together and stepping up when they're away to keep things running smoothly for the team and our guests.
* We are currently ramping up the team. At the beginning you will be allrounder doing everthing which is required FoH, you define standard operating proceduress to onboard new staff members and once the team is build up, you will shift to a more supervisior role.
* You'll help run the show day-to-day—setting the tone on shift, supporting our Kitchen team, ensuring every guest walks away wowed. You'll bring energy, attention to detail, proactive planning, a love of people and wine!
* Job is a permanent Full time Position 5 days a week incl weekends and public holidays.
Key responsibilities include
* Welcoming guests and leading engaging tastings that are personal, fun, memorable and story-filled
* Supporting the team and leading from the front—encouraging, supporting, leading, and keeping energy high
* Making sure the space looks sharp and runs smoothly (checklists, spot checks, deep clean schedules, cash-ups)
* Host Wine Tastings Experiences, and development of new experiences
* Maintain our back office systems; Nowbookit, Rezdy, Square
* Stock taking and Inbound wine ordering
* You can step up and help us in organizing events with live music, comedy club or special food festivals.
About You
* You've worked in a premium hospitality setting before and know how to lead an engaged team on the floor.
* You're results oriented, and are great at working with and through others to achieve team and individual outcomes
* You're all about creating moments that matter—for guests and team
* You're aligned with our values, bringing them to life in daily actions
* You can see the experience through guests' eyes, and confidently organise and run an effective front & back of house service operation
* You genuinely love people – talking to them, listening, reading the room, making them feel special, going further to create raving fans
* You're as happy leading a busy shift as you are rolling up your sleeves behind the scenes to get things done
* You're calm under pressure and quick on your feet
* You know your way around wine
* Host Wine Tastings Experiences, and development of new experiences
* You've got an RSA and can/will step into a Responsible Person role
