Join this national brand taking on a key leadership role that heads production at state level. In this role you will have full accountability for running multiple production lines in a fast-paced perishable workplace.
The role:
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Work with the GM to ensure sufficient staffing and resources are available to meet seasonal and operational demands.
- Manage stock control, complete daily and monthly inventory reports, and oversee stock management
- Prepare and manage production and warehousing rosters and planning activities, including maintenance staff
- Communicate regularly with Head Office regarding operational, customer service, and administrative issues.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors within the region.
- Engage with existing and new customers regarding requirements.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained consistently across the region.
The candidate:
- 5+ years’ experience in production leadership, ideally in an FMCG environment (although client is open to alternative aligned backgrounds)
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional teams including production, maintenance, and warehouse staff.
- Experience overseeing maintenance programs for plant and equipment, including forklifts, bins, vehicles, and production machinery.
- Hands-on experience with budget preparation and management, financial reconciliation, approving expenditure and cost control.
- Advanced skills building and maintain project schedules / plans
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- The successful candidate must be prepared to work peak seasonal periods as needs dictate.
- Proven skills in leading, mentoring, coaching, and supporting team members to perform at a high level
- Knowledge of WHS, HACCP, and CoR requirements
- Ability to manage maintenance schedules and ensure optimal use of plant, vehicles, and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining high customer service standards and resolving issues proactively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
