About the role
We are seeking an experienced MR Truck Driver/Yard Person to join our team at Fastplast Building Supplies in Port Macquarie, NSW. This full-time role will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to our customers, as well as assisting with general yard duties. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our growing building supplies business.
What you'll be doing
* Safely operate MR class vehicles to deliver building materials to customer sites
* Hand delivery of plasterboard to projects in the area - Note: our company pays an extra/over and above salary, plasterboard delivery bonus
* Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, including the use of forklifts
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and stock movements
* Contribute to the overall organisation and upkeep of the yard and warehouse areas
* Provide excellent customer service
* Comply with all relevant workplace health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
* A current MR truck licence and good driving record
* Forklift licence and experience in operating forklifts preferable
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
* Must be physically fit with the ability to repeatedly carry heavy loads
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrable commitment to workplace safety
