Job Overview
As a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of safety, environmental, and quality systems on site. You will work under the guidance of the management team to assist with inspections, inductions, reporting, training support, and general HSEQ compliance activities that contribute to the safe operation of the terminal.
* Support contractor, staff, and visitor inductions, ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) and basic HSEQ requirements are met.
* Assist with maintaining accurate HSEQ records, registers, and reports, escalating issues when required.
* Help implement HSEQ procedures in line with legislation and company standards.
* Conduct routine site inspections to identify hazards or non-compliances for follow-up by senior staff.
* Support toolbox talks, site safety drills, and general HSEQ training activities.
* Assist with internal audits aligned to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
* Under supervision, support hazardous waste handling and correct segregation in accordance with site procedures.

2. Contribute to the identification and mitigation of risks associated with workplace hazards.
3. Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure HSEQ information is shared across the organization.
