Solutions Driven is recruiting for this position on behalf of a client, an established contractor leading the industry with innovative methods in infrastructure, power and energy.
About the opportunity
We're partnering with a growing global infrastructure and construction business with a well-established international footprint and a rapidly expanding Australian arm.
Their Australian operation is rapidly scaling, with a strong pipeline of work and a small, close-knit team based in Wangaratta. This creates a unique opportunity to join at a formative stage, with the backing, systems and support of a larger global group.
The role
This is a stand-alone Senior Accountant position where you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function in Australia with global support when needed. You'll be responsible for everything from payroll and payables through to compliance, reporting and working with external providers.
It's a broad, hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and is comfortable working in a growing business where processes are still evolving.
We are looking for this Sr Accountant position to be based on‐site in Wangaratta.
Key responsibilities

* Maintain accounts receivable, supporting billing, collections and cash flow visibility
* Support GST compliance and reporting, including BAS submissions
* Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and financial controls
* Prepare month‐end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and support audit processes
* Work closely with the wider global finance team on reporting, intercompany activity and ad‐hoc finance support
* Support cash flow forecasting and general financial planning
* Act as the key finance contact locally for suppliers, auditors and external stakeholders
What we're looking for
* Around 5+ years' experience in a finance or accounting role
* Strong experience across payroll and accounts payable
* Good understanding of Australian tax, GST and compliance requirements
* Experience with Excel and ERP systems
* Background in construction, engineering or project‐based environments would be advantageous
* CPA qualified or working towards it is preferred but not essential
Why apply
* Opportunity to take full ownership of the finance function in Australia
* Join a business at an early stage of growth with the backing of a global group
* Broad, varied role with real responsibility from day one
